Online screeners can be useful as a quick and cost-effective way to highlight traits associated with Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs), or the likelihood of conditions such as dyslexia, ADHD, or dyspraxia. However, they are computer-based tools that rely solely on the responses provided and, in some cases, on-screen test performance. Their conclusions are generated algorithmically and do not involve professional interpretation of wider contextual factors.
Our SpLD Profile Assessment is different. It is conducted face-to-face with a qualified assessor who considers both quantitative data and rich qualitative evidence. As experienced practitioners trained to diagnose SpLDs in adults, we bring professional judgement, clinical insight, and the ability to explore responses in depth — something a computer cannot replicate. We can ask follow-up questions, adapt our approach, and be guided by the individual’s lived experience when forming conclusions. As a result, no two reports are the same; each assessment and report is tailored to reflect the individual’s circumstances and current needs.
While we cannot compete with computerised screeners on price, if you are seeking a genuinely personalised assessment experience, we offer a level of professional insight and individualised understanding that automated tools simply cannot provide.
