Studying at college or university can be a challenging time for people with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia or ADHD. Increased levels of reading and writing can make completing academic work time-consuming and exhausting. Issues with focus, processing and memory can make it hard to take notes in lectures and retain and recall all the new information you are learning. Exams can feel especially daunting, with concerns about running out of time, misreading questions, or making mistakes in your answers.
The good news is that there is a huge range of support available for students, and having a specific learning difficulty should not be a reason for not pursuing your goals and studying towards the qualifications you want to achieve.
